Welcome to the Liberation Calendar!

We are thrilled to bring you the 2024 Liberation Calendar in partnership with the African American Policy Forum and the Freedom to Learn network!

The Liberation Calendar guides us through an intentional, daily Black History Month practice. Each day of February, you will receive an email with the day’s suggested practice. These activities provide an opportunity to deepen our connections with ourselves and our community and to reflect on our history of innovation, resilience, solidarity, and strength as Black people.

Accurate Black history has been legislated out of many of our schools. Black scholarship, key concepts, and more have been cut from AP African American Studies to appease extremists. And rising book bans across the country target Black authors and stories. Along the way this month, we’ll also hear what’s at stake right now and what we can all do to take action.
